Information We Collect

Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC) Library collects the following personal information from students during registration: name, date of birth, gender, phone number, email address, address, qualification, and Aadhaar number. Aadhaar numbers are encrypted at rest.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely for library membership management, access control via QR codes, attendance tracking, and payment processing. We do not share personal data with third parties except as required for payment processing (Razorpay).

Data Retention

Student records are retained for the duration of membership plus one year after expiry, after which they are anonymized. Attendance logs are retained for 3 years as per government record-keeping requirements.

Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data. Contact the library admin to exercise these rights.

Security

We implement encryption for sensitive data, secure session management, and rate limiting on authentication endpoints. All data is stored on secured servers located in India.
